He was born in Switzerland in 1887 and became a french citizen in 1930. In a few words, he was an architect worried about the most solid concept of architecture which consists in offering a place not only functional but designed for people to live, defining the house as La machine à habiter, believing that the purpose of architecture is beauty, phenomenon that affects or influences people’s life.
With his first creation, La Maison Blanche he looked for the perfect relationship between nature and rationality, helping both poles to participate in each other (man and earth) disposed entities that need to be internalized as one to preserve the real and original concept and objective of architecture.
